Living with chronic halitosis can be disappointing for those who suffer from it. The problem is two fold in that the people who be obliged to be near the sufferer often find the chronic bad breath to be offensive, and the sufferer himself is almost always aware that his or her bad breath problem is causing embarrassment to others. For those living with chronic halitosis and bad breath, hydrogen peroxide was once considered a viable way of treating bad breath. Those who have tried this method can attest that it can be unpleasant and the results are short-lived, at best. Another somewhat dated cure for bad breath was to gargle with salt water. Again, the procedure itself could be unpleasant and messy, and the results were negligible. A year of research has gone into finding better and more effective remedies for bad breath, and there is finally some hope for those who suffer from this problem.
