Last year my wife and I got credit cards that gave us a frequent flier point for every dollar we charged on the cards. So we started charging everyday items we used to pay cash for to build up our points. Then we got the idea to go online to all our utility vendors and sure enough we found they had merchant account services, so we could pay our monthly bills using our credit cards. Now instead of writing a check for cable, electricity, water, phone services, gas, etc. – we write one check for all those to the credit card company. Between us that’s more than 1200 points per month, which means our flier points are stacking up fast. Thank goodness for online credit card processing services.
