My husband and I went to visit friends from college this past weekend. She was my roomate, and he was my husband’s roomate. My husband and I were high school sweethearts, and we set our roomates up on a double date with us. They’ve been together ever since. After college, my husband and I got married first, and our friends got married the summer after we did. They live only a few hours away, but we don’t see them as often as we would like due to our work schedules and our childrens’ sports schedules. When we are able to visit, a one day trip turns into a weekend. We took our Coleman pop up camper and our boat with us this weekend, even though we had only planned to spend the afternoon with them. This meant that my husband and I had to drive separate vehicles. Although we spent double for gas than what we would normally have spent, I was glad we took two vehicles and the toys. We had a great time, and we did end up spending the entire weekend with them.
