Last year, my husband and I went on holiday to Turkey. While there we often spent the evenings cruising around the local town looking for interesting bars and restaurants to visit. One night we came upon a bar when a group were playing traditional Turkish music. It was amazing ? amongst the instruments was a Turkish Oud, something I’ve never seen before. It was a little bit like a lute and was also similar to an instrument we’d seen before visiting Arab countries. The sound which came from this stringed instrument was truly wonderful and we spent a really enjoyable evening eating local dishes and listening to the local musicians.
