The main objective of a golf GPS system is to present players with distances to all kinds of objects on a course, particularly to the green in play. Using state of the art global positioning satellites, instantaneous information is constantly tracked against a comprehensive map of the course. Yardage to the greens front, center, and back, water hazards, bunkers and fairway boundaries are calculated.
