The nicest time to receive a birthday wish is on your actual birthday but often you end up calling, emailing or dropping off a card to wish someone happy birthday days before their birthday if you are going out of town or unavailable on their birthday. I’ve started sending birthday ecards instead because that way I can schedule the delivery date of the ecard so it doesn’t matter whether or not I’m available on the person’s birthday. Also, I can set it up months in advance.
