Maps are constantly updated especially in our day and age with expansion and population growth. I have come to find old maps can serve as interesting wall decorations or help tell a story of the history of an area. In my line of work and hobbies, we perform a lot of murder mystery parties and old maps really help give that creepy area feeling when trying to set a scene. Don’t ever underestimate the value of an old map outside of it’s practical use the next time you go to toss one in the garbage.
