It’s easy to identify if a place or a thing is public or private. Public if it’s used by people or the community while private if its personal and only for the person even a 5-year old kid can tell that. But, things get a little different in the internet. Most of the people who go online from all parts of the world have an IP address assigned to each user. It’s provided by the high speed internet provider to which they subscribed at. Therefore it should be a private; but once you visit a website and giving them consent to track down all your internet activities and even record your IP Address, things change. The EU debate whether IP Addresses should be made personal or not, is still ongoing. Result is still unpredictable, as both sides have positive and negative effects.
