When I was in my early twenties, I discovered the Highlander film, starring Christopher Lambert and Sean Connery. It was a few years after it came out in the theater, and before I knew there was a television series (the one with Adrian Paul – speaking of which, do any of you remember that there was actually a spin off from that show as well?). Anyway, the story was fascinating, and it was something with which I instantly connected. I was and still am a huge fan of fantasy fiction and movies, and something about this story I loved – it was a very original plot, like nothing I had ever seen. Also, I have always been a sword lover, since my days running through the woods holding a stick and pretending I was King Arthur. A few years later, I discovered replica movie swords and found that they actually had a replica of the dragon katana used in the film. I was stoked. Any guesses as to what I want for my birthday?
