Carrier oils are the oils most commonly used to dilute essential oils as it is the most versatile method. Essential oils must be diluted before they are used as they are too strong in their concentrated form. Carrier oils are most commonly used as it makes a massage type oil or an oil which can be burned which are two of the most common ways in which essential oils are used.
