Let’s face it, the best solutions for modern problems are often derivative of ancient dilemmas that were solved long ago.
That is certainly the case with working women, who are still looking for great ways to care for their babies while they work. We frame this as “daycare” or “stay-at-home,” but in the old days women simply took their babies with them wherever they went.
And for carrying these babies, they didn’t need to invent the wheel and build a stroller. Most devised simple and comfortable baby carriers or slings, which leave their arms free to do tasks while keeping their babies close at hand and safe.
My advice to modern women: take a hint from the ancients.
