Baby clothes are becoming an undeniable part of the fashion world - mostly due to the tremendous swelling of celebrity bellies in the last five years. Suddenly, it’s hip to be a mom! This can only be good for women’s rights, as well as maternity fashion and parental styles. Even stay-at-home baby wear like Petit Bateau is making the press because of its simple elegance and clean look.
While it’s wonderful to see motherhood treated with respect and admiration, the only trouble could be that toddlers are becoming fashion accessories themselves. Does the baby match my purse? Let’s hope that celebrity popularity leaves babies out of it, for everyone’s own good.
