An American trainer of recruiters advises his candidates to effectively
steal from their clients and to corrupt the client’s staff in the process.

Luckily most training falls on deaf ears as most of us don’t get around to
implementing anything. Imagine if this trainer was effective and his
client’s, the recruitment firms, actually followed his advice?

His advice is simple and was sent out as one of a few tips to get more
candidates in a candidate scarce market. A simple piece of advice …Get the
list and then approach and try to steal the staff from the company that has
just paid you a large fee to ‘consult’ to them.

Amazing – this advice goes out to all his client’s who are recruiters and to
his prospective clients.

Now, OK, recruiters need to get information. And who’s a saint? Not me; when
I was in recruitment and finance on Executive search, people offered me
lists. I didn’t refuse them, I used them. But can’t we draw a line
somewhere? There’s big difference between being given a list on a company so
you can then recruit from that company to what he is recommending – advising
new employees at companies to steal from the company for your own benefit.
