Another clever thing to do is look up the operation with the State’s AG office. If you discover the company is under investigation, then avoid doing business with that company. If you are considering enrolling with a a law office then always check to see if the firm is in good standing with the State Bar. This is especially true for law firms that are dealing in debt settlement.
